Chart notes
DR. VENKMAN bumped leaving the gate, stalked inside a rival up the backstretch, tipped out at the five-sixteenths pole, engaged the leader from outside past the quarter pole, took over into the stretch, cleared shortly after and powered away. FINNEUS bumped leaving the gate, tracked off the rail, boxed in entering the turn and had drop back a bit and alter out four wide into the clear, launched a bid with a quarter mile remaining, was outkicked by DR. VENKMAN in upper stretch but stayed on for a clear second. HOT ROD RUMBLE sped clear and set the pace up the backstretch, challenged past the quarter pole, lost command into the lane, flattened in the late stages but managed to save the show. NAVY MAN broke a step slow, chased along the inside through the turn, put in a mild late bid and missed the show. GIVER NOT A TAKER chased outside a rival then three deep into the turn, remained three wide to the stretch and weakened. THE KEY IS UNITY got a bit crowded leaving the gate, chased two wide into the turn, angled out early on the bend, came five wide into the drive and failed to threaten. SLIM MAN settled off the inside near the back, traveled five wide turning for home and tired. C'MON MAN bumped leaving the gate, trailed early, went inside rivals two wide into the turn, got blocked and had to check behind ALMOST SNOW past the five-sixteenths pole, angled to the inside and could not rally. ALMOST SNOW broke inward to bother rival, stalked off the rail or outside a rival into the turn, raced between foes on the bend then got shuffled at the five-sixteenths pole and weakened.
