Chart notes
TAHOE SUNRISE took control early from inside, set the pace with CLOUSEAU to the outside up the backstretch, shook free at the five-sixteenths pole, put to right handed urging in upper stretch, remained clear into the final sixteenth, held a rapidly diminishing lead approaching the wire but was able to hold on. MR FISK chased widest into the turn then dropped back, and angled in while climbing around the clubhouse turn, was on the move three then four wide around the second bend, closed in steadily through the lane then dug in late to get up at the wire. SMART MO chased five wide then three deep early, remained three wide while pushed on through the far turn, could not summon the needed response in the lane but held the show. CLOUSEAU fractious in the gate, stumbled leaving, prominent early three to four wide into the first turn before going up to apply pressure to TAHOE SUNRISE from outside, failed to kick on with the leader at the five-sixteenths pole, chased two wide into the lane and weakened. HENRY Q got crowded between rivals early, had to pause and angled inward, saved ground around the far turn, altered out in upper stretch and could not rally. LOW EXPECTATIONS chased four wide then angled into the two path around the first turn, traveled two then three wide on the far turn and came up empty.
