Chart notes
EVITA tracked on the inside, waited for room while saving ground on the far turn, rallied on the rail, finished well in the final sixteenth and got up late for the win. SERGEANT MOLLY set the pace on the inside, dueled inside on the far turn, kicked clear in upper stretch, then the rider lost the irons when one broke at the sixteenth pole and continued gamely to the finish. HEAVENLY APPOINTED was forced wide entering the first turn, settled two wide off the pace, bid four wide on the far turn, rallied, steadied behind SERGEANT MOLLY at the sixteenth marker, then held for third. COMPASS RISES was forced wide entering the first turn, settled off the pace inside, went two wide at the quarter pole and rallied mildly on the rail. NONNA'S TIRAMISU was forced wide entering the first turn, then stalked three wide, bid three wide on the far turn and weakened in the lane. THE GANG THAT SANG pressed the pace racing close up to wide, bid on the far turn, dueled and weakened in the stretch. A Jockey's Objection by the rider of HEAVENLY APPOINTED against SERGEANT MOLLY was dismissed.
