Chart notes
OEUVRE set his own uncontested early pace, drifted through the stretch and held to prevail under strong handling. LAST LEAF stalked the pace, raced two to three wide around the far turn, dug in gamely near the inside in the stretch and just missed. SOUPER MUNNINGS settled off the early going, raced three deep around the far turn, raced to the outside of a drifting OEUVRE in the stretch run and was outkicked to the wire. J TWIRLED tracked the early leader two deep and faded. FRANGO ELECTRICO stalked the pace and tired readily. THE RIDER OF SOUPER MUNNINGS CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST OEUVRE FOR INTERFERENCE NEAR THE EIGHTH POLE; BUT THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED BY THE STEWARDS.
