Chart notes
MILITARY CROSS broke sharply and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, controlled the pace in the run down the backside, sprinted to a clear advantage leaving the turn, and drew off through the lane while under confident handling. HE'S A SAINT away well and tracked the leaders through the stretch the first time while under snug restraint at the rail, maintained his position in the run down the backstretch, rallied smartly from along the inside entering the final turn, was unable to keep tabs on the winner entering the lane, but finished willingly three wide in the drive to prove second best. STANFORD NORTH stalked the leader in the run down the backstretch while saving ground at the rail, rallied along the inside entering the final turn, and finished evenly from along the rail in the drive to garner a share. BARBERRY BANDIT stalked the early pace while racing one out from the rail in the run down the backstretch, commenced his bid three wide entering the final turn, and finished with late interest four wide in the drive. CAIRO CRUSADER away alertly and pressed the leader two wide through the first turn and into the backstretch, continued to force the issue two wide in the run to the final turn, was unable to match strides with his pace rival entering the turn, and faded over the final furlong. MAX BOOSTER hopped at the start to get away poorly, and trailed the field into the backstretch, rallied two wide into the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon.
