Chart notes
ARTIE'S STORM tracked the top two rivals in the beginning, had a perfect trip sitting behind the contesting front pair all alone with three furlongs to go, could not keep up initially with the engaging twosome when they quickened at the quarter pole, began to extend his stride when asked left handed in mid-stretch and found another gear late to clear away under a hand ride in deep stretch. FROSTED OVER shifted to the outside into the first turn to track the pacesetter, was content to just sit outside behind the frontrunner down the backside, pressed the pace with three furlongs to go, bid for the lead in the three path straightening out for the drive and gamely fought for the runners up share late winning the nod at the finish. DREAMS OF TOMORROW took control outside clearing to the rail in the first turn, set a modest pace left alone up front down the backstretch, was headed outside with three furlongs to go, battled on the inside down the stretch, fought on stubbornly to the wire just missing out for second in a tight photo. CLEAR DESTINATION broke out at the start, travelled outside in the middle of the pack in the two path at the half, was hard ridden midpoint on the far turn, made little impression on the leaders, fought stubbornly for the minors through the stretch and shared the fourth placing in a dead heat at the wire. AVOMAN was brushed inside slightly to begin, settled on the rail in midfield down the backside, advanced on the fence midway on the far turn, battled for the fringes inside down the lane and surged late to share for a small piece of the prize in the end. GASTON was allowed to settle on the fence trailing into the first turn, continued to be unhurried seeing the field down the back straight, with three eights to go was urged right handed offering no response and had little to show driving to the finish.
