Chart notes
DAWGMENTALITY set the pace on the inside, shook clear down the backstretch, then drew off in the stretch under steady pressure. COLONEL POPPY angled out early to rate outside the leader, held position on the two path through the second turn, bid three and four outside into the stretch, then could not threaten and held the place. T REX tracked the pace, saved ground through the turns, came through inside of rivals into the stretch and flattened the final furlong. WILLIE WANDO unhurried, looped up three and four wide through the second turn, fanned widest into the stretch and weakened. MCSTEAMY ran evenly for a half and faded.
