Chart notes
MACHO ROCCO pressed the early pace to the inside of LOVE MY JIMMY and racing in the two path, then rated off the front runner and shifted out and made a four wide bid off the turn, went on even terms by the furlong marker and then drew clear to prove best, driving. LOVE MY JIMMY was away alertly to set the pace while racing off the rail, shook clear on the turn, then was headed by the furlong marker and could not go with the winner while staying on for the place. HURTS SO GOOD was well placed early on the inside but lacked the needed stretch bid, held show award. MARVELOUS THUNDER chased the early pace three to two wide, then dropped to the inside in the lane and had no kick, missed show award. CHANNEL WON was settled two to three wide and then showed some late interest while racing evenly. MISTER BANJOMAN tracked the pace four wide, came five wide into the lane and weakened. SAMURAI MIKE was settled early, three wide on the turn and had no rally. SAINT CHARLES raced on the inside and checked by the three eighths marker and dropped back. HAP HOT failed to respond.
