LOOKIN AT ROSES was hustled from the gate, went three wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, was roused near the seven-sixteenths, went three then four wide on the far turn, gained passing the five-sixteenths, took the lead in the five path into upper stretch, shook off foes into the final sixteenth and just held off the runner-up under steady urging. CUT THE CORD bumped with a rival at the start then was hustled, went two then three wide going around the opening bend, tracked the pace on the outside, was asked while three then two wide on the far turn, swung six wide into upper stretch, pursued the vanguard on the far outside, gained in the final sixteenth and just missed. MYSTIC NIGHT bumped with a rival at the start, went four wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, was roused four then three wide on the far turn, made a bid in the four path into the stretch, battled with foes to near the sixteenth-pole then was outfinished. PORTOS broke out at the start, saved ground on the first turn, settled towards the rear, was urged while moving from three to five wide on the far turn, dropped inward in upper stretch and failed to threaten. CLASSIC MARK was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, angled out while hustled early then rushed up on the outside, took the lead in the five path leaving the opening straightaway, dropped from the four path to the two path while moving clear on the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch, was asked in the two path on the far turn, lost the advantage in the three path into upper stretch and weakened. HIGHER QUALITY was fractious in the post parade, went around the turns in the two path and failed to threaten. DATESFREEDOM was hustled from the start, saved ground while well placed just off the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch and capitulated.
