BLAME B B well placed and outside, gained a striking position three wide through the turn, bid on that path into the stretch, made a steady gain, edged ahead inside the furlong marker, then drove clear late. KENJI'S EMPIRE stalked the early pace on the outside, moved up to gain a short lead through the turn, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then weakened late and held the place. SHARP PLAY BOY mid pack, moved up three wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and missed the place. GIZMO'S MISSION unhurried, looped up four wide through the turn, fanned widest into the stretch and got up for a share. PITON void of speed, saved ground through the turn, closed willingly inside and passed tiring rivals. SECOND LIEUTENANT no factor. CHIEF CRAZY MOON sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, then faded through the turn.
