Chart notes
DIRECT THE CAT took a quick lead, cleared the field and moved to the inside to rate the pace, came under pressure past the five sixteenths pole, drew off at the rail on the turn and was kept alert while proving much the best. RAN OUT OF TRAINER chased outside through most of the backstretch, raced off the rail on the turn, drifted leaving the turn and settled for second best. NAVY BAND came away awkwardly and was jostled between horses on the chute, gave chase toward the inside, raced in the four path on the turn but was carried out entering the lane and showed little more. MAMA MARGE chased inside through the backstretch, angled out approaching the head of the lane and weakened. ILIKEFUNSIZE exchanged contact with Navy Band leaving the gate then gave chase inside, rounded the turn near the rail and showed little in the lane. MAD SWANN exchanged contact with Navy Band leaving the gate then gave chase but weakened off the rail on the turn. SEVEN NATTY PATTY showed little and was not encouraged leaving the turn.
