TIZ MY PRINCESS was allowed to settle leaving the break, raced outside of rivals into the backstretch run, improved position at the half-mile marker, was steered four wide into the second turn, loomed at the quarter marker and vied for the lead into upper stretch, battled with ZAFFERANA to the furlong marker, continued that duel approaching the sixteenth-pole, shook free into deep stretch and drew clear in the final stages. ZAFFERANA settled off of the solid early pace, raced outside of an inner rival into the backstretch run, improved position along the far turn, vied for the lead while three deep approaching the quarter marker, vied for the lead into upper stretch, battled with TIZ MY PRINCESS to the furlong marker, continued to battle into deep stretch, could not match strides with the winner in the final sixteenth and was outkicked, while besting the rest. HAPPY IS settled along the rail in the early stages, saved all of the ground to the far turn, angled out and came three wide into upper stretch, was not able to impact the top two in deep stretch and passed tired rivals in the final stages to secure third. CHIC SAMARAI tracked the solid early pace while closest to the leading pair, saved ground into the far turn, came in tight and waited for racing room nearing the top of the lane, tipped two wide for the stretch drive, ran evenly to mid-stretch and lacked a response in the final sixteenth. DANCING BONBON contested the early pace with MISSING PENNY then pressed the pace while outside of that rival, kept pressure on the solid fractions through the backstretch run, vied for the lead into the far turn and took a narrow advantage at the quarter marker, lost the lead into upper stretch, chased to the furlong marker and gave way in the final stages. MISSING PENNY was asked for speed leaving the start, contested the early lead with DANCING BONBON then assumed command into the first turn, set solid fractions while pressed through the backstretch run, lost the lead approaching the quarter marker, dropped back into upper stretch and tired in the drive.
