LUCKY FORCE dueled for the lead from the outside of LICORICE entering the stretch the first time, took command from the outside of his pace rival midway down the backside, maintained a clear advantage into the final turn, and widened his advantage late while under confident handling. ROCKCLIFFE away alertly, and settled into a tracking trip from just off the rail entering the first turn, held his position in the run down the backside, rallied three wide entering the final turn, and closed four wide in the drive to get the place. TIME TICKER settled at the back of a compact field entering the first turn, began to creep closer in the run down the backstretch, shifted three wide to mount his bid entering the final turn, and finished five wide in the drive to garner a share. LICORICE broke sharply and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, was unable to match strides with LUCKY FORCE midway down the backstretch, tipped off the rail to launch her bid entering the final turn, but was outfinished in the late stages.
