Chart notes
SPENDOLINI rated outside the pace, held position on the two path through the turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, made a steady gain, shook clear late and lasted. SPAN OF CONTROL broke sharply from the gate and was rated back quickly, looped up two and three wide through the turn, angled widest into the stretch, closed fast and missed. TWELVETWO set the pace on the inside, shook clear at the furlong marker, then weakened late and held the show. JOYFUL GHOST well placed and outside, moved up two and three wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch and evened out. YARDMAN chased the pace inside, saved ground through the turn, came through inside into the stretch and flattened out the final furlong.
