Chart notes
TWIRLING ROSES bumped from the rear at the break, shared the lead outside DANZA TAXI, was crowded by the that one nearing the bend, moved ahead two wide on the turn, drew clear in the lane and held sway under steady handling. BUREAU angled toward the outside midway on the backstretch, improved position four wide on the turn, slowly drifted out as he rallied the last furlong but caught LAYTON THE DAY for second. LAYTON THE DAY progressed three wide on the bend, moved clear for second upper stretch then leveled off in the late going. HILLBILLY LOGIC prominent from inside on the backstretch, faded on the bend, angled to the outside upper stretch and made up minor ground in the waning yards. LASTFORTINOFAMILY bumped solidly with DANZA TAXI at the break and was never a factor. DANZA TAXI bumped solidly with LASTFORTINOFAMILY and was forced into TWIRLING ROSES, moved up quickly between horses to vie for the lead inside the latter, brushed with that one nearing the turn and began to give way before finishing a half mile.
