SKATE TO HEAVEN got bumped at the start by COLPO D'ORO, dueled briefly with that foe while in hand early on before settling six paths off the inside just off the pace, tucked four wide into the turn and advanced at the three-eighths, swung four to five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command inside the three-sixteenths and drew clear under a drive kept to task. DADS GOOD RUNNER chased five then four wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, went seven wide into upper stretch, improved position and just held for the place honors over a rival on the wire. STRONG LIGHT chased three wide down the backstretch and then five wide througfhthe turn coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung five wide into upper stretch, improved position to secure the show honors when just missing for the runner up spot. EL DE CHIMI bobbled at the break, advanced to vie briefly three wide before emerging to duel three then two wide with DEE'S SPEEDSTRE to his inside, swung three wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. DEE'S SPEEDSTRE advanced after the break to vie from the two path before emerging to duel with the aforementioned foe from the two path, tucked inside through the turn continuing to knock heads, got set down spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, weakened in the late going. PROVEN HOPE coaxed from the gate, chased three then two wide coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, weakened. SCOTTO coaxed from the start, chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung four then three wide into upper stretch and tired. BREAK THE ICE broke out at the start, chased along the inside under coaxing from three furlongs out, continued in the inside route into upper stretch and tired. PAPI ON ICE coaxed from the gate, chased five to six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four to five wide through the turn coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, swung six wide into upper stretch and made no impact. COLPO D'ORO stumbled at the start recovering outwards and bumping SKATE TO HEAVEN, vied briefly in the five path before chasing three wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, spun just off the inside for home and faltered.
