DARK AFTERNOON was stalking the pace while inside into the turn, was blocked behind rivals on the turn and waited for racing room, slipped through an opening at the top of the stretch, closed fast while two wide in mid stretch then gained the lead and was ridden out in late stretch. UPTOWN HUSTLER set the pace then drew off on the turn, was in a long drive but could not last in late stretch in a good effort. BIG WAVE JAMES was unhurried early then rallied four wide in upper stretch, closed willingly in the stretch but was no threat to the top two. BOOTSIE'S GALAXY rallied three wide on the turn, made a bid but flattened out in the drive. LUCYS MAJOR MIRCLE raced two wide on the turn then failed to menace in the stretch. FORT HOOD chased the pace while two wide into the turn, moved to the inside making a bid but faltered in the stretch. SUNDAY BLING chased the early pace while three wide into the turn, was used up and gave way.
