Chart notes
LOOKIN AT ROSES settled off the pace three wide, bid to the front near the eighth pole and gamely held off inside challenge. BODE'S MAKER lacked speed, advanced outside final turn, angled inside in the stretch but was outfinished. MAGNOLIA MIDNIGHT set a clear pace for half a mile, was collared on the final turn then weakened late. TRUCULENT raced in closest pursuit of the pacesetter, bid on the final turn then flattened. COBBLE ROAD raced close up inside then moved wide on the final turn faltering. MIDNIGHT ACT dropped back early and raced far behind throughout. HOLDTHEFLIGHT moved off the pace three wide early then gave way after half a mile.
