Chart notes
STORMIN MELLY well placed and off the rail, moved to position on the two path through the second turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, made a steady gain, drew off inside the furlong marker and lasted. UPPITY UP allowed to settle, looped up three wide through the second turn, bid on that path into the stretch and closed the gap on the winner late. FOLLOW THROUGH sprinted to a clear lead pulling, stayed on when challenged at the furlong marker, then faded late. ITALIAN TWIN rated inside early, angled out through the first turn to stalk the pace while bearing out, then faded through the second turn and drift out into the stretch.
