Chart notes
ZOEY'S HIPPIE vied for the early lead, forwardly placed throughout and loped clear before the wire. CHARLIE'S PARADE dueled on the front end, saved ground around the turn, proved no match for the winner, but was best of others. I'M A NIGHT TRAIN raced within contention, saved ground around the turn, proved no match for the top two and held off PAL'S ALARM for the show position. PAL'S ALARM lacked early speed, came around the turn on the outside, made a mild bid and was outfinished for third. CATALINA DAY pressed the pace, weakened and was no threat late. IRON N STEEL void of early speed, improved position, but was no factor. FLASH OF RAIN raced in the middle of the field, came around the turn on the inside and put forth an even effort. THE LAST CAT lacked early speed and was never close. A FOOL FOR CARLOS always raced near the back and was outrun. SERRANO'S WARRIOR raced within striking distance and dropped back.
