Chart notes
KENNY HAD A NOTION stalked from the three path the first turn, dueled to the lead approaching the five sixteenths pole, raced clear nearing the quarter and held on under steady stretch handling. ALLEN CAN DO IT settled off the rail the first turn, gave chase approaching the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn at the rail, dueled clear in second past the eighth pole and finished evenly while gaining on the waning winner. MARTINKELLY settled off the rail, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn in the three path then dueled through the stretch for third. STARBURST rated a slim lead off the rail past the five eighths pole, came under pressure past the three eighths and was met toward the five sixteenths, dropped back into the far turn and flattened in the lane. NEWS BOX rounded the first turn in the five path, gave chase from the five sixteenths pole, raced in the four path on the far turn and showed little in the lane. BOURBON THUNDER raced off the rail on the opening turn and showed little response through the backstretch. CLASSY AMERICAN became fractious in the gate which necessitated a late rider change, rated just off the early pace in the four path, gave chase past the seven sixteenths pole but weakened in the five path on the far turn. MIND YOUR OWN raced with the early pace inside but dropped back toward the half mile pole, gave chase approaching the seven sixteenths but weakened toward the quarter pole. CURLIN'S MALIBU raced well back.
