COLLABORATION was restless in the gate but came out in good order, showed in front early then was taken in hand and conceded the lead to a hustled foe, tracked outside in the two path, was asked outside the quarter-pole, gained to make an outside bid in upper stretch, took a short lead near the furlong marker, battled with two foes into the final sixteenth, fought with the runner-up to the finish and prevailed under strong urging. GOLDEN ROCKET went two to three wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, was asked three wide on the far turn, came four wide into the stretch, made a bid outside the eighth-pole, fought with two foes into the final sixteenth, battled with the winner to the finish and missed while able to get the place. MASTEROF THE TUNES broke out and brushed with a foe then was hustled to the lead, showed the way with a clear advantage on the inside, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch, lost the advantage near the furlong marker, fought into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while able to get the show. WATERVILLE broke out at the start, was taken in hand on the outside early, traveled three wide on the first turn, settled near the back, was roused three wide on the final turn, came five wide into the stretch, reached a reasonable striking position into the final furlong but lacked the needed kick. STELLA MARS needed a little extra left-rein guidance into and early on the first turn, settled on the inside, was asked on the far turn, moved to the two path outside the five-sixteenths and lacked the needed response. SWEETEST PRINCESS saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace, was asked in the two path on the far turn, came three wide into the stretch and failed to rally. ORANGE FREEZE dropped from the two path to the rail on the first turn, settled near the back, was urged along the rail on the far turn and failed to threaten.
