Chart notes
VODKA MARDINI was hustled from the start, showed the way down the backstretch, controlled the action while inside on the turn, extended the advantage late on that bend, remained well clear into the final furlong, shortened stride under the crop into the final sixteenth and held under steady urging. SCREAMING UNCLE bumped with a rival at the start, dropped off the pace then was urged along on the outside, went three wide on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, gained on the tired leader in the final furlong and finished willingly for the place. AULA was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. GROWTH MINDSET was coaxed along off the pace, saved ground under stronger encouragement on the turn and failed to respond. WHENLOVETAKESOVER bumped with a foe at the start then was hustled, showed speed then tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the two path on the turn and tired. NO SURRENDER was reluctant to load then broke inward, raced inside under urging, dropped back outside the half-mile pole, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn and faltered.
