Chart notes
PENGUIN POWER chased outside, raced five wide on the turn, dug in under steady stretch handling to take the lead in later yards and raced clear under the wire. YOUTHINKTHATSFUNNY chased outside, rounded the turn about the six path, left the turn outside and closed well to take second the final strides. GOLDEN KEY was hustled to the lead past the half mile pole and set a pressured pace, raced at the rail on the turn, was steadily handled leaving the turn but gave up the lead in later yards and flattened nearing the wire. EL LUCERITO chased through the backstretch, raced near the rail on the turn and flattened inside the eighth pole. NICO became a bit anxious in the gate then gave chase, rounded the turn about the three path, eased outward leaving the turn and finished evenly to pass rivals. TEACHINTHERELEASE was fractious in the gate, gave chase through the backstretch, raced in the four path on the turn then flattened in the lane. DERBY DAY DREAMS chased inside, raced near the rail on the turn and showed little in the stretch. JEFFERSON NATIVE became extremely fractious and sat down in the gate, pressured the early pace but faded off the rail on the turn. LITTLE ROO ROO broke a step slow then gave chase, lacked a clear path in the three path on the turn and was not asked further.
