Chart notes
BRINDISI alternated for the lead outside, was bumped near the top of the stretch then came again and edged clear. SAL N LOUIE was blocked and under snug hold after quarter mile to midway on the turn, angled out, led briefly in the stretch and hung. DADASHEV raced close up, saved ground throughout and continued well. QUICKENING eased back into the far turn, angled out in the stretch and finished gamely. BIG JOHN chased very wide throughout and flattened out in the stretch. HARLEY'S CHARLY dueled inside to the stretch, was bumped soon after and faded. URMIZZENTHEPOINT dueled three wide for half a mile and gave way. MODERN MIDAS lacked speed and weakened steadily. WHISKEYMAC lagged far behind and trailed throughout.
