Chart notes
FLAT OUT RUNNER raced in the back of the pack in the beginning, made a steady gain, moved up inside around the turn, angled out entering the stretch, split rivals down the lane and pulled away. SECRET ROAD raced near the middle of the field, made a late rail bid, proved no match for the winner, but was a clear second. GATSBY'S FORTUNE vied for the early lead, saved ground around the turn, lacked a late kick and proved third best. HYMN FOR CARLOS dueled on the front end, finished wide, weakened and was no threat late. TOP PRIORITY pressed the pace, came around the turn on the outside and faded. POUND OUT A DEAL raced within contention, saved ground around the turn and faded. NATIVE REQUITE raced near the middle of the field, weakened and finished evenly. MAGNOLIA SPEED void of early speed and was never close. FRENETIC DAY always raced near the back and showed little.
