BENTORNATO bumped SEMINOLE CHIEF at the start, had speed between foes, was bumped leaving the chute, disputed the pace between rivals down the backstretch, set the pace in the three path rounding the turn, drew clear leaving the three-eighths pole, stayed on the left lead while shifting in a bit in upper stretch, switched to the right lead leaving the eighth pole and held clear under a drive. MATTINGLY settled off the early pace, raced in range two wide around the turn, could not gain on the winner in the stretch, dueled inside of HURRICANE NELSON for the place and prevailed for that placing. HURRICANE NELSON was bumped at the start, raced off the pace outside, advanced five wide around the turn, could not match strides with the winner in upper stretch, dueled outside of MATTINGLY through most the lane for the place and was narrowly outfinished. ROAR READY broke slowly, raced off the pace three wide and passed tiring rivals in the lane. SOUND OF THE BEAST raced in range outside, made a four wide bid around the turn then came up empty in the lane. SEMINOLE CHIEF was bumped at the start, raced two wide and never threatened. SQUINTS was bumped on both sides leaving the chute, checked soon after, raced off the pace four wide and had no further bids. SECRET LOVER stumbled at the start, raced two and three wide and made little impact. ECHO LANE bumped with LASSO at the start, had some speed inside but was through early. LASSO bumped with ECHO LANE at the start, had early speed between foes, came out and bumped SQUINTS into BENTORNATO leaving the chute, chased between rivals down the backstretch and retreated two wide around the turn. ESPERON had only brief speed inside and was eased through the lane. RYE'S MY GUY was rank at the start, steadied soon after, raced well back five wide, had no response and was eased in the stretch. AN OBJECTION LODGED BY THE RIDER OF SQUINTS AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE LEAVING THE CHUTE WAS NOT ALLOWED.
