Chart notes
BAD LITTLE BEAST dueled for the lead two wide into the stretch, dug in under right handed urging to make the lead inside the furlong marker and edged clear late under strong handling. LOCK ON pressed the early pace three wide, gained a narrow advantage midway on the turn, set the pace until deep stretch then finished second best. APACHE with the second flight two wide, fanned out five wide in upper stretch and finished with good courage. BLUE SKY'S ABOVE battled for the lead along the inside until deep stretch then faded. GAMBLER had good early speed along the inside and failed to respond. BEASTFROMTHEEAST offered a mild bid four wide into the turn then came up empty.
