Chart notes
NATURE OFTHE BEAST sped to the lead soon after the start, set all the pace under pressure, turned back a strong bid from the runner up near the furlong marker and proved best in a game effort under left handed urging. WHEN IN ROME was a forward factor from the start along the rail, lacked room on the turn, shifted out five wide before the quarter pole, drew on even terms for the lead with the winner at the furlong marker then was denied. LEAVENWORTH void of early speed, swung wide and closed a gap late in the middle of the racetrack. HEART OF AN ANGEL pressed the pace two wide into the stretch then weakened. ANGEL'S SOUPERSTAR pressed the early pace three wide and was through after a half. LIGHTNING CASHES had speed from the start, offered a mild bid four wide nearing the quarter pole then came up empty.
