Chart notes
BEST DEFENSE set a fast pace while clear, then dug in gamely in the drive and maintained a safe margin to the wire to prove best, driving. MAGIC SPIN stalked the pace and made a two wide bid by the quarter pole, then continued willingly to the wire but could not get to the winner, second best. MEAN MACHINE was reserved on the inside, cut the corner off the turn and had some late kick. LILTONYTWOPHONES was off a step slow, settled early, came four wide off the turn and tired.
