CHUY GARZA Y. G. was unruly in the gate then hopped at the start, was settled then rallied four wide on the turn, was in a strong drive and dug in gamely and won the head bob on the wire. PAPA BILL dueled for the lead while inside, was in a long drive throughout the stretch and lost the head bob on the wire. BROWN TOWN was settled while two wide into the turn, rallied and split rivals turning for home, was gaining ground in late stretch while inside and finished well in the end. HE'S A ROCK dueled for the lead while two wide into the turn, was in a long drive but weakened in late stretch. RAPID EXPANSION raced three wide on the turn then made a bid but was no menace in late stretch. SMARTY BALL was pinched back at the start then settled, rallied and swung out to be seven wide in upper stretch but was no threat.
