Chart notes
BIG CATTY rated nicely off of the fast early pace, tracked the leading pair two wide to the quarter marker, chased into the stretch and gained ground at the furlong marker, shifted to the three path into the final sixteenth, rallied in deep stretch, took command in the final strides and held in a drive at the finish. WOK DON'T RUN tracked BOURBON TIGER in the opening stages then was sent to assume command heading into the turn, set a fast pace while pressed by BOURBON TIGER along the turn, lost the lead in upper stretch, fought back into the final furlong, was outfinished by BIG CATTY in the final strides and bested BOURBON TIGER for second on the wire. BOURBON TIGER broke alertly and showed good early speed, conceded the early lead to WOK DON'T RUN and pressed outside of that rival into the turn, pressured the fast pace to the quarter pole, vied for the lead into upper stretch and took a narrow advantage to the furlong marker, dug in under urging into the final sixteenth, could not hold off BIG CATTY in the final strides, was just edged for second on the wire and was clear for third. OUTER SUNSET settled off of the fast early pace and saved ground into the turn, maintained that inside path into upper stretch, advanced at the furlong marker, shifted to the two path into the final sixteenth, was gaining in deep stretch but was unable to impact the top three.
