Chart notes
SHARP CHARLIE challenged for the early advantage, forwardly placed throughout and drove clear late. ONE TOUGH CHARLIE pressed the pace, saved ground around the turn, was outfinished for the win, but held on for second. DOUBLE BARREL MAN broke a step slow, racing in the back, gained ground and finished willingly. GOLDEN PALACE raced in the middle of the field, entered the stretch wide, made a mild bid, but was no factor. CUSTOM BLUE GRASS raced within contention, weakened and finished evenly. MUCHO MARVIN lacked early speed and passed tired ones. BANKROLL showed early speed and was finished early. FULL POWER broke poorly, raced in the rear and was never a threat. SMOOTH COLLIERY always raced near the back and showed little.
