Chart notes
BOOK SMART off alertly from outside to take control, drew away on the turn, led two wide into the lane, roused and urged left handed in upper stretch, kept to task through the final furlong and held safely. COLT FICTION broke a step slow, tracked off the inside, rounded the bend in the three path and whittle the gap on the winner late. MINISTER SHANE sat off the pace, traveled three then four wide on the turn, kept on through the final furlong and finished a clear third. BAG'S GOLD bobbled leaving the gate, chased along the rail through the turn and lacked a rally. SAULS CALL hustled early and was closest in pursuit of the winner up the backstretch, dropped back two wide on the turn and tired. AMIGO G A broke a step slow, lacked early speed, trailed on the inside into the turn, moved off the rail around the bend and never got involved.
