Chart notes
HYMN FOR CARLOS set the early pace then was in a long sustained drive and drew off then held sway in late stretch. CAJUN CYCLONE chased the early pace while inside into the turn, made a bid on the turn but lacked a closing bid and was second best. MAGNOLIA SPEED pressed the pace while tow wide into the turn, was hard used then gave way in the drive. HANGIN' TUFF was settled then rallied two wide on the turn, was gaining ground but was no menace. GATSBY'S FORTUNE chased the early pace while two wide into the turn, bore out and was four wide in the stretch but lacked a late bid. CUSTOM STAR broke in a tangle then was rank soon after the start, made a mild rally but was no threat in the stretch. TOP PRIORITY was unhurried early then failed to menace. GLAMORDINI was inside then hit the rail entering the turn and was turned sideways then faltered. SMOKEY G was inside into the turn, was used up and gave way.
