Chart notes
MINOR DISCREPANCY pressed the pace from the two path to the final turn, moved to engage the leader at the quarter pole and matched strides through the turn and down the stretch, brushed slightly with SPECIAL STORMY in late stretch but kept on to prevail. SPECIAL STORMY vied for the lead from the three path down the backstretch then moved up to engage the leaders at the top of the stretch and dueled down the stretch, drifted in slightly and brushed with MINOR DISCREPANCY in late stretch while fighting gamely. DEFIANT MALICE stalked the pace from the inside through the final turn then moved out to three wide in the stretch for a late run to be a clear third. RUMPUSINTHESKY raced in the middle of the pack down the backstretch then moved out to four wide on the final turn but only raced evenly. HELLO MR COPELAND set the inside pace for a half, was headed at the quarter pole, dueled around the turn and gave way grudgingly. RITE ON SAM raced in the middle of the pack while saving ground but was never a threat. ITZCOATL wasn't with in contention. A TRAINER OBJECTION WAS POSTED, THE TRAINER OF SPECIAL STORMY CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST MINOR DISCREPANCY FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN LATE STRETCH, AFTER A STEWARDS REVIEW THERE WAS NO CHANGE AND NO ACTION TAKEN.
