Chart notes
CHUCK WILLIS (IRE) dueled on the outside, vied in the two to three path on the turn, kicked clear in upper stretch and drew off under a moderate hand-ride to win ridden out. BOURBON'S HOPE broke a step slow, was urged along towards the rear, raced inside for most of the turn then shifted to the two path, came four wide into upper stretch and narrowly earned the place while no threat to the winner. PRINCE JAMES broke a half-step slow, was ridden along near the back, went around the turn in the three path, came five wide into upper stretch and just missed the place. HEIR PORT was hustled from the gate, dueled on the inside of the winner, vied along the rail on the turn and tired.
