Chart notes
MAGNIFICENT RIDE dueled for command outside KING ZOG, inched ahead on the turn, raced on even terms again into the final furlong, drifted inward and drew clear to prove best. KING ZOG dueled for the lead from inside, kept the pressure on through the turn, headed the leader again at the eighth pole, drifted toward the inside and yielded late. BLUEGRASS RYDER chased three wide into the turn, moved into the two path, angled out and came five wide into the stretch and lacked a bid. GETEMDUSTY broke a step slow, tracked outside a rival, went four wide into the turn, six wide into the lane and weakened. ATTA BOY LLOYD broke a step slow then got crowded and took up early, chased three to four wide on the turn and weakened. NAHAN chased widest up the backstretch, five wide into the turn, angled down the rail around the bend and came up empty. DUE TO A TIMER MALFUNCTION THE FIRST QUARTER FRACTION WAS HAND-TIMED.
