Chart notes
THIRSTY THURSDAY showed good early speed and assumed command leaving the start, set a solid pace while pressured into the turn, carved out a quick pace along the bend and shook free at the quarter marker, was kept to task while showing the way to the furlong grounds, was pressured into the final sixteenth by COME OUT FIGHTING, dug in into deep stretch, was fully extended in the final strides and lasted for the win at the finish. COME OUT FIGHTING prominent leaving the break, pressed the solid early pace outside of THIRSTY THURSDAY, kept close attendance to the quick pace through the turn, chased into the stretch, closed into the final sixteenth, battled with THIRSTY THURSDAY into deep stretch and just missed for the win while well clear of the rest for second. SINGING N DANZING chased the solid early pace, improved position two wide and between runners along the turn, shifted to the three path into upper stretch, could not keep pace with the top pair in the final furlong and just held for third at the wire. COPPER COASTLINE chased outside of runners, raced five wide to the quarter marker, raced a bit greenly through the lane, offered a mild late bid and just missed for third. MENDONSA chased inside of runners, maintained a two wide path to the quarter marker and did not offer a late rally. REGAL REDWOOD took back off of the solid early pace, tracked while saving ground into the turn, chased to mid-stretch and gave way in the final furlong. BOOK EM TAMO close up early while outside of runners, chased three then four wide along the turn and tired in the drive.
