Chart notes
OLYMPIC ROMP trailed for half a mile, angled wide into the stretch, caught the pacesetters then surged clear through the final furlong. HORNBEAM rated close up, slipped through inside on the final turn, dueled and continued willingly. PRACTICAL COACH prompted the pace two then three wide, earned a narrow stretch lead racing gamely but tired late. VINE JET led under pressure inside and the two path to the stretch and weakened. SENIOR INVESTMENT settled close up three wide, was put to urging into the far turn then gave way. MAXIM MOMENT was fanned very wide on the first turn, remained wide and stopped abruptly.
