Chart notes
GOLDEN KEY took an immediate lead while angling to the inside and set a pressured pace, rounded the turn at the rail and held on well with steady handling. DERBY DAY DREAMS gave chase through the backstretch, rounded the turn in the five path then dug in from the head of the lane and took second under the wire. AMIDSHIPS broke awkwardly then gave chase, raced near the rail on the turn, dug in leaving the turn, was outfinished in the duel through the stretch, then nipped from second under the wire. MR TINGLES gave chase, rounded the turn about the three path, drifted leaving the turn then flattened later yards. PIT STOP MAN gave chase through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the six path and finished evenly to pass rivals. ROCKET APPEAL gave chase then weakened at the rail on the turn. INSIDE RISK chased through the backstretch, entered the turn near the rail, angled out approaching the head of the lane and showed little more. GOLDEN G angled to the outside to give chase, rounded the turn about the seven path and passed rivals widest. COMPANY CLOWN came away awkwardly and saved ground. WILD MULE gave chase and rounded the turn near the rail.
