Chart notes
GOING THE DISTANCE broke sharply, set the pace up the backstretch and into the turn in the two path, pulled away steadily down the lane, ridden out. POPPERINA off a step slow, dropped inside into the turn, advanced then steered off the rail late in the turn, closest entering the stretch, no match for the winner, well clear of the others. UNION DAME forwardly placed along the inside, moved closer by late in the turn, failed to sustain that advance in the drive to flatten out. LEGALLY LUCKY lacked speed outside, raced four wide into the turn, in the two path exiting, lacked a closing kick. TRUE EMOTION in mid pack early off the inside, four wide entering the stretch, came up empty for the drive. BODI ODI chased the winner early, gave way in the turn, finished well back.
