Chart notes
BAYOU CHROME raced in the middle of the pace from three wide then moved up from four wide down the backstretch and made a late stretch run to be up in the final jumps. BRIARTOWN stalked the pace from three wide then moved up to engage the leader at the quarter pole and took the lead at the three sixteenths pole but drifted in past the sixteenth pole and impeded inside rival but kept on and was nailed by outside closer. PAPIRINGO raced in the middle of the pack from the two path on the first turn then saved ground through the turn and slipped through at the eighth pole but had to steady past the sixteenth pole but saved the show. CARLOS'S MAMA trailed the field to the final turn then advanced from three wide on the turn for the late rally. DEFINE was roused to the lead down the backstretch then was headed at the five sixteenths pole and eclipsed at the three sixteenths pole and gave way grudgingly. PARTY GRAS raced in the middle of the pack and failed to menace. R T'S IRON MAN was allowed to settle and remained back. TREASURE COAST pressed the pace from the two path down the backstretch, moved up to engage the leader at the five sixteenths pole but lacked a response and tired. A STEWARD INQUIRY WAS POSTED ALONG WITH A JOCKEY OBJECTION, THE JOCKEY OF PAPIRINGO CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE JOCKEY OF BRIARTOWN FOR INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH, AFTER A STEWARDS REVIEW THE CLAIM OF FOUL WAS ALLOWED AND THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED BRIARTOWN FROM SECOND TO THIRD.
