Chart notes
OLYMPIC DREAMS coaxed from the gate, raced three then two wide through the first turn before chasing three wide in closest aim of the leader, got coaxed along half a mile from home, angled four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a furlong out, edged away to the finish kept busy to the end. LAUGHING BOY coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand just off the inside, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught a furlong out, ran on clear for the place honors. GOOD SKATE coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside until tucked inside through the far turn, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and kept on to secure the show honors. LUIGI'S SPIRIT three wide through the first turn, chased four then three wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, went seven wide into upper stretch and improved position to secure the last major share. I AM THE LAW got bumped in the hind end at the start by CARPENTERS CALL, chased three then two wide under coaxing from the three-eighths, swung five to six wide into upper stretch and offered no response. MIDNIGHT TROUBLE four then three wide through the first turn, chased four wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, went eight to nine wide into upper stretch and tired. CARPENTERS CALL broke in at the start bumping I AM THE LAW in the hind end, chased just off the inside and then three wide coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, backed away and lost ground, swung three to four wide into upper stretch and was eased home to the finish. MONTAUK POINT coaxed from the start, raced five then four wide through the first turn before chasing five then four wide down the backstretch and into the far turn, gave way and went eight wide into upper stretch and was eased home to the wire.
