Chart notes
ELWOOD BLUES bumped leaving the gate, chased under coaxing two then three wide on the turn, reached the front with a sixteenth remaining and held over DESMOND DOSS at the wire. DESMOND DOSS settled inside off the pace, drew closer around the bend, rallied along the fence and missed. GOOD VIBES ONLY sped clear and moved inward, led along the rail then two to three wide into the stretch, remained clear to the eighth pole but was outkicked by rivals on both sides in deep stretch. HARD TO FIGURE chased three wide into the turn, five wide into the drive and finished evenly. SUPER CHIEF broke a step slow and got bumped around at the start, chased from off the pace, went three wide into the turn, moved into the two path then angled four wide into the lane and weakened. PRINCIP got bumped and crowded early, trailed well off the rail early, went four wide into the turn, six wide into the stretch and had little left for the drive.
