Chart notes
DIXIE CANNONBALL set a pressured pace and was in the two path on the turn, came four wide off the turn and had a long drive through the lane and prevailed late to prove best in a gutsy score. HOPE FOR GOLD pressed the winner three wide, made a three wide bid to go on even terms by the quarter pole, then was floated five wide off the turn, then dueled through the lane but missed late. DROSSELMOON was well placed early on the inside, fell back a tad nearing the quarter pole, then was slowly gaining late but needed more. NOBLE JON stalked the pace and made a four wide bid by the quarter pole but hung in the drive. MERU was reserved early on the inside, eased out on the turn and came six wide into the lane and had a belated rally. AZZARO STEEL was off slowly, settled back towards the inside, then passed the tiring rivals late. VIOLENT PASS was settled early, three wide on the turn, came five wide off the turn and had no rally. JETTIN OUT chased the pace on the inside and weakened. POCOPSON STATION was settled back early, three wide on the turn and was not a factor.
