Chart notes
CHAMPLIN set the pace along the inside, drew clear entering the lane and was ridden out under mild urging. PRACTICALLY DARK broke a step slow, stalked along the inside, moved forward and shifted out to pursue outside of the leader around the turn, but only managed to chase that one through the lane to prove second best. EIRIK RIDGE chased two wide, then in the three path around the turn, dug in to resist an inner challenge for show entering the lane and turned that one away in the final furlong. GOLDENTOWN broke a step slow and was bumped by an inner rival at the start, saved ground at the rear, bid for show entering the lane but flattened out. GREAT RUNNER was urged along three wide and between horses, then gave way in the four path around the turn. BETTERA bumped an outer rival at the start, raced off of the pace hung in the four to five path and faded.
