Chart notes
DERBY DAY DREAMS gave chase and raced close off the rail on the turn, dueled for the lead approaching mid-stretch then drew away later yards. AMIDSHIPS accelerated to the front approaching the three eighths pole and rated the pace, came under pressure at the five sixteenths, raced at the rail on the turn but was met toward mid-stretch and relented the final sixteenth. GOLDEN G gave chase, rounded the turn in the five path and ran evenly in the lane. BAYTOWN FROSTY gave chase through the backstretch, raced off the rail on the turn and flattened in the stretch. PIT STOP MAN chased, rounded the turn about the six path and passed some rivals. PRIMAL DESTINY had a brief early lead then steadied nearing the three eighths pole and faded. STORM BOARDER (CHI) gave chase, raced in the five path on the turn and weakened.
