Chart notes
HANDLE ON YOU was hustled from the gate, pressed the pace on the outside then in the two path on the turn, took the lead at the five-sixteenths, spun three wide into the stretch, remained on her inside lead to the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead, appeared to wait on the runner-up into the final sixteenth, found renewed focus when challenged again late and held under strong urging. DAME CATHERINE set the pace under pressure to her outside, vied inside under urging on the turn, lost the advantage at the five-sixteenths, fought on inside of the winner in the stretch and just missed while clear for the place. BELLS TOLLING was urged along off the pace, went three wide on the turn, was driven four wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. SONG OF SOLOMINI broke in front then stumbled badly, chased the pace down the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path and came up empty. MEL'S ANGEL stumbled badly at the start, was urged along on the outside, went five wide on the turn, dropped back six wide into the stretch and faltered then was eased but walked off. LOVE THYSELF settled on the inside of a foe, went four wide on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and also faltered then was eased but walked off.
