Chart notes
CHASING THE CROWN brushed with an outer rival at the start, pursued from midpack along the inside, tracked in the two path around the far turn, smoothly split foes in the three path launching a rally entering the lane, gained while shifting out before bidding in midstretch, led into the final sixteenth and fended off an outer pursuer. POINT PROVEN laid off of the pace in the two path under a snug hold behind foes nearing the backstretch, shifted to the three path picking up stride among foes entering the lane, rallied shifting outside of the top pair in the final furlong, took aim on the new leader entering the final sixteenth but was kept at bay. FREEDOM'S WAY vied along the inside, led around the far turn, cleared an outer presser entering the lane, but gave in to an outer pair entering the final sixteenth. ALEX JOON broke a beat slow and brushed with an inner rival at the start, laid off of the pace in the three path and between horse, then ran on to edge fourth late. WONDERFUL JUSTICE (GB) tracked along the inside while a bit off the inner rail, vied for place with an outer rival in upper stretch, failed to go on with that one entering the final furlong and yielded. NELSON AVENUE was bumped by an inner rival at the start, pressed two wide and between horses before backing off to stalk entering the backstretch, pursued from the two to three path around the far turn before being floated to the six path entering the lane, then chased evenly. FORTUITY raced off of the pace two wide and beteween horses and failed to factor. KENTUCKY GHOST bumped an inner rival at the start, stalked three wide, fanned to the seven path entering the lane and gave way. TEMPER TANTRUM pursued from the four path and failed to menace between horses. COLOSSEO was bumped between horses and bobbled at the start, trailed tucking to the inside around the first turn, then saved ground to no avail. CURLY JACK lacked speed in the five to four path and never got involved. NATIVE THUNDER gained in the five path around the first turn to vie entering the backstretch, prompted two wide around the far turn, but drifted back to the five path entering the lane and stopped.
